Our Mother, Our Life

Yesterday you changed our lives

Yesterday you told us all

Your past that affected you

That none of us ever saw

I am writing you this poem

To show you I care

You mean the world to me

And it wasn’t fair

You had to hide this all of your life

And live in regret with your past

Now we know everything

It happened so fast

We all love you so very much

You’re our mother, our friend

You’re my crutch

You’re always there whenever I may need you

I know you’ll make them happy

Whenever they see you

You’re a mother of nine

And the best at that

Through ups and downs

We will always have you’re back

You may not have been there while they were growing up

But you’re their mother

You mean so much

I hope you can smile once again

Now that we know

You were never able to let them three go

Now they are back in your life

Now they are just as lucky

As we were every night

We will always love you like no other

We will always love you, you’re our mother
