Poem -

Our Soldiers

There are soldiers who live and die
Fighting a war and not knowing why
Yellow ribbons hung on our trees
Our flag will wave till they are free

Fighting soldiers one on one
Hoping soon they will lay down there guns
A battle fought to victory
Marching home when they are free

We read about them in black and white
Our candles burning day and night
Children, men, and ladies too
Are praying for everyone of you

So don't discourage and know we care
For all our soldiers over there
A sad and lonely lost for few
All your families are waiting for you

When you return will march for joy
Our soldiers who are girls and boys
Until that day when you are free
We pray each day God will hear our plea.
