out loud to the sky

she wandered and wondered
if god would be cross
if she headed home early
was he even her boss?
she wandered and pondered
if heaven...was...bliss...
she thought through the waysΒ
to find answers to this
she wandered and wondered
out loud to the sky
but the sky remained silent just,
rolled itself by
she wandered and wondered
would she even be missed
would the grass miss her
presence... would the rain be
bereft?
would the snow even know
of her footprints...not left?
she thought of the millions who
starved as she walked
perhaps... god would thank her
for leaving more space
she wandered and pondered the
circles she'd paced
still quite in her body with
quite the same face

Oh, how I love these lines!Β No better way to describe 'desolate' ..... gut wrenching desolation. Even the sky don't want to know.Β Your writing is perfect. Wait, I said that before .... so it must be true. If you had a badge to hand out saying ...Marion's no 1 fan ... we'd all be fighting over it!Β Hugs x
