Overwhelmed

This really is a thank you poem,
For a generosity,
Until now,
I’ve rarely ever seen.
I’ve been bowled right over this time,
As I received help,
From an amazing make a wish charity.
Mine.
Although has taken me a year of hard graft and knock backs,
Was to have this,
My first book,
In my hands,
To see.
I wanted to hold it just once before fate,
Finally has to intervene.
As fate is inexorable,
It’s what you do in your life that matters,
In the in-between.

When I was lost.
When I was alone.
I felt in limbo.
So I took to writing,
What is before you.
A slither of my poetry.
Written to help others healing.
Understanding even what lays before them.
How to battle cancer,
Without chemotherapy.
How to smile,
When all you want to do is cry.
Finding will power in the deepest and darkest of holes,
And learning how to be happy.
It’s also scientific in its teachings.
Even without more dreadful rays.
Not from the sun but Radiotherapy.

None of this though,
Would ever have been possible,
Without this,
The perfect ending.
from people donating,
I’ve had help from the very beginning.
I wrote all the words,
But Katina Woodruff Borgersen done all the creating.

Without All of the help along the way,
I’d never be here,
Writing this poem,
I pen down today.
I’d never be here without the last word to say,
If it wasn’t for the Honeyrose Foundation,
The final cog in getting my book ready for shops shelves,
Come next Thursday.
I’ll finally be known as an author of poetry and literacy.
It was a last generous hand in the pocket,
That got my book to start to be published,
On this good fateful day,
I’ll always remember it,
The day I was resurrected,
The year 2022,
On The 4th of may.
I’d just like to say an infinite thank you,
To Dianne,
Lynn and Mark.
On today,
This most auspicious type of a day!
I’d still be searching for a publisher,
If the Honeyrose foundation,
Hadn’t have given their good faith away.
I’d still be left wanting,
if they hadn’t entered the fray!

Thank you so much. I'm so excited.  My 1st book, 'Wyrd bîd ful aræd, Feohtere Drohdap' 'Fate is inexorable, Fighter Mode' should be published and for now, until I get 30 reviews on there to get a free isbn number, it will be for sale on Amazon as of the end of next week with any luck. All happening so quickly if I'm honest....
thank you for all your encouragement along the way. I've now got 5 other books in the pipeline just ready to press submit but need to get established first. Once I have the new isbn number I'll be able to spread to bookshops etc that will stock my book. Hoping it will be a success and not for greedy monetary gain but to potentially save millions of other cancer sufferers lives. Or at least give them a shot at something natural before they take the chemo rout. As if I knew then, What I know now, I'd never have had chemotherapy that nearly killed me by burning from the inside out. Before cannabis once again saved my life!
