Poem -

Padlock

How do I shatter a padlock?—for I’m infatuated with

Resistance. A knife has penetrated my soul, witness

The shed of blood. But you could heal the schism, my

Love. Merely unfasten, and ride upon the sleigh of love.

I’m here to vet every angle, to give depth to every

Passage. Mystery has invaded the gallery of my spirit.

I’m overwhelmed by a museum of hope filled

Portraits. An animating force has imbued our

Personalities. Such passion is depicted upon the walls

Of a billion studios. Shall we ignore mystic glory?

Shall we nurture a putrid wound? I long for justice,

Scared to walk hallowed grounds, prior to the capture

Of love, for the touchstone thereof pictures our

Essence. Let live the flame, or let live our death.
