Pain

Pain

I understand all the fear,
Usually If I’m there,
in an eye
There will always be a tear.
Rather use me to get you into gear.
Ā am not purporting to put me away
Or not allowing your tears to have a say.
Rather embrace me,
As I am here for a reason.
I might not feel as first-rate as love;
Yet both our purposes are sent from above.
I cannot help but to be me,
Humans gave me the name Pain,
so it will be.
God gave humanity the choice;
Rejoice.
But with the choice it was inevitably possible,
That along with happiness probable;
I its partner,
its opposite,
Would play my role,
until the day when we are composite.
So before you give me too much of your time,
Think of the ladder you must still climb.
When fresh, humans use me as an ugly tool,
Where they have an excuse to act the fool.
Accept me,
That I am part of this journey;
And ensure whenever I am around,
Make the lesson learnt tangibly sound.
