Poem -

Parasites

Negative thoughts
Sink in
And are hard to get rid of
Like parasites
Their parasitic tentacles
Grasping on to every
Nerve and pain receptor
In the body
Making it almost impossible
To change
Do how
I ask
Do you alleviate
The pain
And move passed
All the anger
And shame
That these parasites bring
There is only one thing
That I can think of
To cleanse the body
Of these parasitic thoughts
And that is love
Carry the light of love
With you always
And the parasitic thoughts
Will run away
Screaming
Into the dark abyss
From whence they came
