Party

A Party is a fun place to be,
Well to everyone BUT me.
Everyone who enjoys to be within a crowd,
Drink till their inner thoughts come tumbling from their mouths.
Till the music blasting loudly poses a genuine threat to their hearing,
ā€˜I’m sorry what did you say?’, Like they can’t hear me.
Who finds comfort in a crowd of stranger’s faces?
In hot and sweaty places,
Because I, for one, do not.

Plastic cups, full of cheap concoctions,
Like they have no other option,
Than to use this drink to numb emotion,
Whilst searching for love within the commotion.
Expecting their soulmate to find them on the dancefloor,
But instead they end up passed out, on the floor.
Who possibly finds a party a fun place to be?
Because I’m positive,
They’re not for me.
