Pass On By

So often we go right by people and simply pass them by,
sometimes never even bothering to say a simple hi,
give a hand gesture or wave a simple goodbye,
not just to the strangers on the street,
or the ones we work with through the week,
but also our friends and family we meet and greet.
See we should always find a way to show kindness to people wherever we go,
because to see them again is something we just don't know.
The saying goes here today and gone tomorrow,
and once it's gone there's only room for sorrow,
but I believe if you give love today instead of tomorrow,
your love will feel given instead of borrowed.

Ya Ya,
First of all- welcome to Cosmofunnel. I've only been here about a month. I comment more than I post- but I have a little collection on here. Gained a few friends but here in lonely limbo- it's been quiet lately.
Before I forget, I like this piece "Pass On By" and (coincidentally?) I feel like I'm the one being passed by.
Out of fairness to the other party involved, I can't divulge any details but if you're willing to talk...
thanx James I accidentally posted a poem that i was playing around writing and posted it on comment instead of my poems, so embarrassing, rookies. Anyhow I'm kinda glad not too many here to see my blunder.
Might I delight myself in the right,
realize that the real good things in life
don't come easy nor overnight,
despite the world's colorblind sight,
black is beautiful and no other color has it's might.
Everything originates from darkness, even the light
God chose it for the background so the stars can shine so bright.
Darkness helped my ancestors hide under it's cover of color and run to freedom by night.
Escaping from the hands of those oppressing them, in shackles bound tight,
Everyday willing to fight, even tho' every bone filled with fright.
but when the real comes to the light,
you don't want to be nowhere in sight when the blacks unite,
you talking about a fight, I'd describe it closer to seeing dynamite,
the kind that will explode on full overload, like her tongue she don't bite.
this is beautiful i love it
GreetingsYa Ya,
Just as my partner James has conveyed, welcome to cosmo funnel and as Brelyn has commented, this is a very stand outish poem .Why should we put off for tomorrow, that which can be accomplished today, especially if it contain a humanitarial gesture to another, unknown by you, but respected just the same by you...A fire of immense heat, have you delivered to us all, in your practiced preach.Poems such as this, (lonely land),doesn't fit you well at all. You have stepped up to the plate and (Took) your homerun bow, and we applaud you out loud...Well written poem, to be enjoyed by the hungry readers of this site...
Warm regards,
Jim
That was spectacular! Everytime I read it, it gets more spectacular, thanks for reading me!!
