Past, present and future tense

Living in the past isn’t good for anyone.
Living in the past,
Can screw with your head,
Dependant on the situation.

The here and now.
The present.
Live it while you can.
Live it with determination.

Then to look forward,
Into the future.
Plan your dreams.
Make your future your own creation.

Take any time in life.
Make the Best of what,
In life you’re dealt..
Making sure it’s one of no damnation.

I was dealt the cancer card 15 years after birth..
Not knowing what fate had in store for me.
Wanting me in an early hurst.
It wanted annihilation.

Little did it know,
I’ve the will power to beat it,
Continuing on my lifes show.
Without hesitation!

You hold the key.
The key to your own hearts destiny.
Unlock it when you can.
Then make your own lifes type of adaptation.

Find a loved one,
Well if you can.
Treat them well and love them.
Don’t give in to others temptation.

Be proud of your roots.
Where you truly come from.
Take pride in yourself.
Have some aspiration.

Listen to those around you.
The wise ones that is.
Work as hard as you can in life,
Be an inspiration.

Be someone to look up to.
A role model.
Through nothing but good.
Never manipulation!

My life is that of a maze.
There’s only one way in and out.
It’ll leave you confused and dazed.
Like a shell-shocked nation.

My mind is twisted in stress.
My life has been pushed to its limits,
Completing every one of my lifes tests.
The whole compilation.

My kids are the light of my life though.
And never want to see them hurt.
It’s why I protect them from the bad in the world.
From anything,
Especially corruption.

Don’t use them as tools.
They’re not a spanner.
Or even a screwdriver.
They’re a precious family connection.

They mean the world to me and more.
All three of my boys,
All opening lifes new doors.
Whilst I give them true love and affection.

Now I’ve met the love of my life.
My soul mate and best mate,
And everything in-between. 
Cleansing all past affliction.

I’m now the happiest I’ve ever been.
Our kids give me a constant smile,
One that glimmers and gleams.
And Liz gives me pure love and protection!
