Past to Present Reflective Thinking..

Is solitude a blessing,
Or a curse that I chose,
Where I sit in my own company,
Analysing the life I previously owned.
And chastising the wrong decisions from my past.
Am I a product of silence,
The non emotion of childhood,
That you don't speak until spoken to.
That trauma is nothing,
But a passing phase,
So you suck it up
And move on as its nothing but another day.
The independence of adulthood,
With emotional capability of a child,
Baggage you leave at the airport,
Emotions only to be in the lost and found.
A day of realisation,
That you are truly alone,
Even thou warm bodies surround you,
You are left to find the one who will touch your soul,
Without deceit or sadness,
Will I give my all,
Or will I run for the hills,
Like a fox been chased by a pack of hounds.
Reflecting over my life,
From childhood to now,
My very own therapist,
Channelling my past to present,
Not straying from my positive path.......

Georgia yes, I think you're right solitude can be a blessing, and after all if you don't like your company, why would you expect someone else to? ..... looking back at our life, coming to terms perhaps; that tone you capture so well....really enjoyed reading this introspective poem; lots to think on here, truly well written....cheers

Thank you Christopher for your kind words. I appreciate you could feel what I had expressed in words,
Kind regards
