Paying the cost
I think my true love got away it’s on my mind about every day. She is my best friend and is there for me. But I still think what if you see. I wouldn’t change the path I took. But I know I could just write a book. It’s crazy that we are here today. You’re my best friend no more to say. But if I think of the what if. I know in my heart your my gift. Given to me in this world. I don’t think I have loved another girl. You were it the sun and light. The one I want to say goodnight. I always knew I lost you when. I decided to begin again. But I never truly really lost. But I know one thing I paid the cost.

Wow! a heavy cost! I think we all have stinging regrets, but I have to believe that we are to press forward, plodding along with our suit cases full of burdens and some day we will reach a pinnacle of forgiveness and ALL tears will be wiped away! very nice write! ....................Jim
Think you're yearning for a little lust lost if I may say. What you have got is many people's dream. No criticism just most men have a very naughty mind and it's okay if no hurt to the love ones. Just my 2c.
