Peace of mind

She knows where she is going but she doesn’t know when - she thinks about this place every now and again - what will it be like well she hasn’t got a clue, someday she will find out but she will not tell you - living her life plodding on each and every day in her usual fashion, everythings okay - until the day she won’t be here when she receives that call coz no matter what she is doing she shall have to leave it all
Now whilst she fully understands her situation we are all just on earth for a limited duration - and some have longer than others its like the luck of the draw i.e. whichever of us picks the long and short straw - its a game of russian roulette as one holds that gun trying not to pull the trigger in our hit-and-run - dodging obstacles along the way yet journeys end is inevitable come what may
On her incredible, interesting direction of uncertainty she travels to new destinations, for her own curiousty, she learns the cultures in the countries, spoken languages and different foods as she embraces their tasty recipes and takes home her souvenier goods - so she travels the globe with so many exciting pathways whenever she gets the chance to go away on her holidays - she knows full well that life is for living so she tends to fulfill her dreams without any misgiving.. with no repentance and no regrets in her timelessness memories of bygone forgets - happiness is there for her to find so she shall end her days with peace of mind

Great write Jill.
My favourite line.
Awww thanks luv so much xxx
Beautiful poem - it makes me think of all the women in the world who labor tirelessly with their jobs, homes and family. Then, they take their dreams to a new dimension, making plans to fulfill their greatest feats, taking action to make the best of their life, no matter what plateu they arrive on. To be a woman in the 21st century is still a challenge, we work, we play, we dream, yet still not looked at the same as our male counter parts. This is how I read the poem.Â

I really like these lines, how you talk about life and death like a game of Russian Roulette, brilliant Jill. Wonderfully worded as always. Do you write fiction? I bet you could write an entire chapter in narrative/lyric style and it would be awesome.Â
