Peace sleep on it

       Peace sleep on it.

Long before the summer night, before the cold gray dawn. We took a vow to hold on tight, but I know not how it all went wrong.
The lamb's lay dying in the field, amidst the swords they held. The books were changed to support the yield and words there in were quelled. Where the angel of hope and might, they stand there watch them wail . Where the father in whom they trust, before the words grow stale . Do not their sins match their wrongs, that the color red prevails. We cannot stand, to understand that this is how it must end. To except that wrong, was all along and this is how we must bend. But the straw that broke the camel's back slid off into the mud and made us stronger. Thought? If peace was a branch they would break it and throw it into the fire. If peace was a dove we could take feather and make a pillow and sleep on it. The End.
