PEOPLE ON THE MOVE

The people on the move quickly decided to stop
For they knew in minutes a bomb would drop
Where would it land they couldn't quite tell
Guaranteed to cause devastation and hell

The people on the move had nowhere to hide
Children clinging to parents as grown men cried
Looking at the sky which was a orangey black
Less than a minute now the town under attack

The people on the move were people no more
How many were dead I can't really say for sure
Died with honour in the name of a mindless war
Stories like this are so very difficult to ignore
