PEOPLE ON THE MOVE

The people on the move quickly decided to stopĀ
For they knew in minutes a bomb would dropĀ
Where would it land they couldn't quite tellĀ
Guaranteed to cause devastation and hellĀ

The people on the move had nowhere to hideĀ
Children clinging to parents as grown men cried
Looking at the sky which was a orangey blackĀ
Less than a minute now the town under attackĀ

The people on the move were people no moreĀ
How many were dead I can't really say for sure
Died with honour in the name of a mindless war
Stories like this are so very difficult to ignore
