Just passing my time sat on a park bench space

I am guessing at expressionism by the look on each and every face

We are waiting for a homebound aeroplane, sat with our luggage and suitcase.. 

And just like when we got here, that sizzling sun is shining up a-height

Passerby’s are semi clad and presumably feeling alright

Wearing designer sun shades to look across to the light 

All-in-all we have had a lovely holiday at this seaside sight..

But all things good must come to an end

This familiar old haunt of ours is somewhere I would really recommend 

One could come over with your beloved spouse or perhaps a budding best friend

Someone who is dear to you and that person to whom you can depend..

All our memories are here to treasure

Our moments from our bygone yesterday’s that gave us pleasure

Far too many to mention and much too marvellous to measure
