A Perfect June Day

A Perfect June Day

Light winds blow the sea grass
Bowing its head on the dunes
Occasional clouds pass
As slow as sweet June.

Summer is boasting
This beautiful day
White beaches are roasting
Red sails in the bay

Salt spray is cooling
As we walk hand in hand
White foam is washing
Footprints in the sand

We rest neath a palm tree
And sleep in the shade
Drink deep from our flask
Our cold lemonade.

Sun sets on the horizon
And Falls from the world
Stars twinkle the heavens
As nighttime unfurled
