When it came to cards he is devious and sly 
These kind of antics cause grown men to cry 
Always in life he's one step ahead of the game
No doubt about it he lives up to his name 

For this man is widely known as Pete the cheat
Never loses at anything and doesn't get beat 
Whatever he does he always finds a loophole 
Making a quick buck is the ultimate goal 

I suppose Pete thinks of himself as really clever 
Far more intelligent than Bob, Bill or Trevor 
One day though Pete people will get wind of you 
Cheats never prosper is a saying that's so true
