Pirates

Pirates

Shots fired in the streets
Panicked faces wake from sleep
None asking "what"
Yet all left wondering "why"
This shipwreck continues to sink so deep
Expulsis Piratus Restituta Commercia
Long since have we forgotten the code
Rogers saved a fleet of seven hundred
And quenched with blood
Their thirst for gold
And yet they thrive today
Salty dogs with masks of men
Hiding in the shadows
Thirty silver
The price of betrayal
Shielding them from the gallows

OMG that's awesome. I love pirate stuff. I love making any pirate reference I can to things. It brought the pirate glamour and romance into modern times. Gangster pirates lol. Excellent ink.
