We are the forgotten heroes of literacyÂ
Bumping between bookshelves in a school libraryÂ
We worked four years rigorouslyÂ
No fees! It was kind of voluntary .
Our friendship was disruptedÂ
You found a golden nugget
Settled down abroad, and acclimatedÂ
In a place number one list in my bucket.
So we sauntered two separate continentsÂ
Of different interests and dreamsÂ
Then started in tributary streamsÂ
Embraced life with hopes and countenance .

Hi Lucy, welcome back. Yes. I'm sure she'll be loving this too. I'll not share this till tomorrow. I'm leaving tomorrow for Switzerland to meet her for the third time. She surprised me two years ago on my birthday blast in the Philippines.Â
i visited her in 1988 for the first time.
We worked together at our school library for free in the 70s.
