Plain Mary

Plain Mary

Locked in the stocks for all to bear witness
Humiliated, and stripped of name,
She went willing unto torture
For playing the devil's game.

Proud mother
Save your son,
Your just plain Mary
Hated by all while loving everyone.

They watched her burning in the gallows
How naive it was to believe that she could die,
Feet scorching the earth she walked out of the grave,
Dark dress and veil to cover the black tears falling from the sky.

Mother darkness
Reighning hate from above,
Below you hold black hearts
Finding the center still posesses love.

She will search forever, says her curse
Of a sacrifed child who took to skies,
Buried ash and bones to earth
Your children never safe from the woods watching murderous eyes.
