POETIC ANGELS
Their name, their years, revealed by the titular muse
These pleasing, yet anxious beings, injecting inspiration
Into the place of otherworldly confetti and crepe suzette
Where ' almost annoying ' begs further consideration
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When your will and your thoughts are set ablaze
Dare to dance around your poetic themes and phrases
For, in their own way, poetic angels do help to convey
That which is already poised inside you to say

On some fond breast there's comfort upon which to rely
Some pious drops of clarity sprinkled into creative mind
Like dreaming is to the dreamer, unfathomable surprise
As if by chance the author's words bloom sweet compromise
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Those playful poetic angels revealing the blush of genius
When the Library at Alexandria appears to the mind's eye
Incorporated and yet unrecognized, as ink hits the page
And reading one's own work, to the face, it brings a knowing smile....
