The Inspiration

    They say poetry is food for the soul
And your soul must eat, so here I go
You take in your nutrition
     They say poetry is you in a nutshell
What you write is all about yourself
Who the hell you kidding
     They say poetry is the basement window to the soul
But it won't matter, as Uncle Leo Tocco would tell you
Keep your mouth shut
     They say poetry is food for the soul
The inspiration is the seed as you know
Poetry,  just  don't matter that much
