Spin you a yarn I'm a politician you know 
Won't tell any lies but just watch my nose grow 
I will deliver my promises that's for sure  
Believe me when I say I want to end all war 

I'm a politician I won't fiddle any books  
The health service is not as bad as it looks 
There is only a few days that you have to wait 
The economy is good it's looking really great 

If you believe what I say and give me your vote 
I will invite you into my mansion and onto my boat 
Politicians to me never do what they say  
There is always some excuse that gets in the way
