Positive Vanity

Excessive pride is a lethal weapon,
Causing destruction to society and self.
 
When misery plagues you for many years,
An individual strives to earn confidence.
 
While anguish was in complete control,
Disapproval led to thoughts of death.

Now, as a self-confident person,
Egotism glows in small amounts.
 
Positive vanity is healthy in minor dosages,
Especially when catastrophe dominated your life.
