Pray For Paris

I have seen true evil,

It's face flashed across the television,

Eyes welled, hearts ached,

Streets paved with innocent death

Why, for God's sake?

No man can be rewarded

For such cowardice acts,

What moral mind brainwashed or not

Could be manipulated into such hatred?

That sick feeling deep within the gut,

Nobody's safe from a snake

Which has carefully planned this malevolence.

We can rebuild, remember,

Yet the worst part is never forgetting

The tragedy, that did not have to be.

Prayers go up in smoke,

Us allies sit comfortably rattled,

And the decapitated hydra head

Already grows anew,

I pray for victims and loved ones

I know one day if that wasn't today,

These evil souls will answer for what they've done,

In this life and the many more to come.

Paris....... I pray........ for you.
