Poem -

Praying for eternity.

Breathing heavily in and out as lungs are expected to do, when living

But for you I'd forfeit it all,
releasing my entireties
Into the forever air
You breathe within, the equivalence of eternity
Each touch upon
my skin

Quivering at the very thought of your hands strong hold, fearful I am not
- but bold,

Each vein, coursing blood
This rush testified
by my faith and undying
Wishes,

To be wedded
within the night

consented,
replenished, reborn

Torn nightgown, aftertaste, lips still burning with desire
Smoke rising from a cigarette
Ashes from the fire,

Still breathing, still alive
Adrenaline pulsing in out out of my heart,

Breathing inside that space

That forever air you breathe
Praying for eternity
- hoping you never leave.
