PRECIOUS TIME

PRECIOUS TIME

When I was small and ill...

You did what you could to comfort me...

You would read me a story before you would turn out the light...

You would check on me to make sure I was alright...

When I ran a fever...

When the people attacked...

You would bring me to the hospital...

To try and give me a chance...

If I didn't make it you would miss me I know...

The memories would be safe in your treasure box...

You would have tried to wish me back, but you wouldn't want me to suffer again...

When you got ill...

I read to you before I turned out the light...

When you had a fever and weren't feeling right...

You went to the hospital...

I brought you home and did the best I could...

Our time together was running short...

The day I knew you had to go...

Your precious time on earth was through...

The memories have become my treasure...

I could have tried and wished you back...

Then you would have to suffer again...

Hugs...

Hello Sis Debs...

When my time is up...

I don't want to do it twice...

No one wants to lose a loved one...

Hello Happy Jack...

You ever began the real men don't cry thing that has seemed to carry on and on and on...

I wonder what would have happened if that was never started?

I have tons of respect for men who let their feelers show...

It shows that they have a loving and caring heart...

Thank you for your sweet comment...

Love ya!

Incredibly moving. You have the quality and assurance and belief to cope with tackling these type of poems.

Great piece.

Hi Sweet Sparrowsong,

Such a beautiful write, about how life's perpetual pendulum swings.  So early, you were catered to by a saint, but all to quickly, as decades flew by, you became this saints keeper.  And in their waning hours, you pledged to them the precious memories that will live forever in your heart, and the undying love, that will permeate your soul forever.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

xox Larry

Hello Larry...

The thought of being raised by a saint...

Taking care of the same saint in return...

I see other people who were really good to me...

They were very much a saint to me...

Those that weren't...

It really is all about the heart...

Thank you for your kind and loving comment...

Best wishes and blessings to you and yours my friend...

Hugs, Peace and Love,
