PREPARED TO WAIT

The day's sunshine gone night now descends
They started out as strangers but left as friends
Six random individuals all had the same idea
To pay their respects to a Queen they hold dear

Wristbands given and they joined the long queue
Prepared to wait is something they had to do
To pass the time they chatted plenty and ate lots
Raised a glass to Her Majesty by drinking shots

Seven hours later all their queueing now done
Time soon went grieving soon replaced with fun
Six people now friends brought together by fate
Amazing what happens if you're willing to wait
