PREPARED TO WAIT

The day's sunshine gone night now descendsĀ
They started out as strangers but left as friendsĀ
Six random individuals all had the same ideaĀ
To pay their respects to a Queen they hold dear

Wristbands given and they joined the long queue
Prepared to wait is something they had to doĀ
To pass the time they chatted plenty and ate lots
Raised a glass to Her Majesty by drinking shotsĀ

Seven hours later all their queueing now doneĀ
Time soon went grieving soon replaced with fun
Six people now friends brought together by fate
Amazing what happens if you're willing to waitĀ
