PRETTY

She never wanted flowers
She preferred them alive
Swinging their hips in the
grass
Making the garden look pretty
Alive is classy, she'd say
Dead is crass
We sent her off with flowers
anyway
We liked them
They brightened her coffin,
softening the blow
Made the church look pretty
What a waste, she chide's
Laughs
She is not gone
She return's every year
In the scented carnations she
held so dear
Alive
Swinging her hips in the grass
Making the garden look pretty

You just have such a marvelous touch with the way you set up your reader's ear.....the subtle delays in poetic tempo that creep up and help to make the profundity of the 'whole of the intent' more impactful......yours is a golden pen,,,,truly........Well conceived and BEAUTIFULLY delivered!!......ALL STARS!! & PINNED!!......Bravo!!.......T xo : )
