the pretty lies
fall
like flimsy petals 
blown off
by a cleansing wind
revealing

truth...

which wither
and die
suffocated
by the
pretty lies
which 
lay
like a toxic mulch
of flimsy petals
to
smother
the
whole
​​​​​​plant...
