PRISM

I knew a man
Who lived in a rainbow
When his colors ran
He was more than peaceful
He danced on emerald hills
Never needed any more
Than this life could give him
Like Mr. Bojangles, He danced
For an audience in his mind.......
And all the passersby....they watched
As he spun circles around eden
And all the passersby.....they laughed
But he never stopped to see them
He just danced, and he danced, and he danced..........
He never walked in this world
He lives in the next
A world of truth and love
Of providence
But all the simple situations
Kept him from love at a glance
It never felt quite right to him
It just never felt quite right.....
The stars shone brightly
That holy night
Then he saw an angel in the streets
Bathing in celestial light
And as he stared in silence
She moved with a quiet sway
Wrapped in the arms of a rainbow
It all seemed so familiar
Why did she seem so familiar?
I knew a man
Who lived in a rainbow
Who found his love in a prism
And as their colors ran
They were more than peaceful
Ands as she touched his hand
They began to dance
And all the people began to dance
They just danced and they danced, and they danced
They danced on emerald hills
They danced themselves straight into eden.........
