The Prison Within

Twisted thoughts,
Twisted pleasures,
Desperate times,
Desperate measures,
As the years go by,
The memory remains,
You and Me were both,
Two runaway trains,
Focus on my words,
This is more then lyrical,
We somehow survived,
That's a freaking miracle,
I overdosed and died three times,
Girl have you forgotten,
How could you forget,
The Hell that I begotten,
Even though the memories,
Would make most people faint,
It is what it is,
And it ain't what it aint.

Poetic Justice!  Excellent write! This is a harsh memory of desperate and twisted circumstances that careened two people into a myriad of troubles…"I overdosed and died three times"!  Can't say that I've been there, but I've been close.
