Puppy Love

Puppy Love

Something has attacked me; it’s in my body whole;

It’s gone a little step farther, and entered into my soul!

But it’s nothing I want be cured of, for its terminal to be;

The Doctors call it “puppy love”, the love of you and me!

I felt a little sniffle, the first you I saw;

You kissed me, I got choked up, my throat a little raw!

When I picked you up and held you, I felt some pangs of heart;

The blood rushed through my body, and my face began to smart!

When I brought you home that very first day, my body became somewhat weak;

For it had finally found it’s dearest true love, for so long that it had e’er seeked!

That first night we spent together in bed, my temperature quickly gave rise;

For I was laying right next to my dear little love, the apple of both of my eyes!

Yes, my body has been invaded, but no cure will I need;

For this disease that they have called “puppy love”, is wonderful indeed!

I’ll have it now for the longest of time, never shall it then abate;

My body will stay full of this virus I have, the love for my little mate!
