Puzzle Pieces

We were two puzzle pieces that seemed to fit,
But we spawned from different boxes,
So this may just be it.

I tried and I tried to make our colors work,
But we are too different,
Our colors too berserk.

Without us our boxes would be incomplete,
Each final photo missing one puzzle piece each.

Only a brief moment together,
But a moment that would be remembered forever.
Two puzzle pieces that could not comply,
Two puzzle pieces that said good-bye.
