Poem -

quarter or a dime .

He kept on waking that night
Beneath the light of the moon
In search of a quarter or a dime
Just to play the jukebox
To hear that song
One more time

Beautiful stars shone brightly
Above his searching mind
Time had been so lonely
A little unkind

But that song it swayed his heart
Taught time to rewind
Humming the tune
As the roads did bind

In search of a quarter or a dime
Just to play the jukebox
To hear that song
One more time

To ease his aching mind
Time had been so lonely
A little unkind

Searching for a quarter
or dime

Hoping to hear her
One more time

The voice of an angel
Within the jukebox

Only a quarter or dime
Could rewind
The aching in his heart

So many walking miles
Keeping them apart.
