Quest to my soul.

I am on a quest,
To find true happiness.
I walk through the impenetrable light.
Defeat storms.
Go where daybreak daren't touch.
Where trees tower over powerless creatures like ancient monsters.
Where the chilling pitch-black darkness absorbs its terror-stricken victims.
I hike through the rain-teeming streets wiping the sweat and tears of fear from my bleeding face.
Where light bleeds to night
and where even the blood-curdling shadows are  swallowed by the encroaching darkness
Where malicious demons roam and live freely.
And where your fears dominate and control your every move 
 The low beating of my heart is the only thing I seem to hear as if it is scared to beat any louder.
Drowning in silence, I glare round in desperation, hoping its just a nightmare I can awake from
I can't scream.
I can't move. 
Paralysed.
But in that moment of terrifying silence 
My mind is suddenly calmed,
and the answer is clear 
True happiness isn't money or possessions or looks
But it is the peace, serenity and tranquillity within your soul
It is loving.
Being loved.
 At this moment,
The sun starts filling the sky, its pure scattered light piercing the heavens
It’s beautiful golden hue ambitiously illuminating every crevice of the once overcast land
Sparrows start to chirp a graceful melody
I pause a single breath in my lungs
Time halts.
Have I  found true happiness? I think to myself 
Or did it find me?
I realized that the horrid place  where my journey began was all in my mind and  the beautiful setting was too
and that is when I understood that nothing can hold you back from true happiness.
Only your brain and your fears
So only thing holding you back is
 YOU
