Quiet Fear

Making little noise
As if in a too big world
Trying hard to find your place
All the while a Pearl

Poised and quiet
Never rude or loud
Trembling on the inside
Fixed, but missing in the crowd

Silent as a lamb
Scared to shake hands
Looking for your place to hide
Wondering who understands

Standing hushed in the crowd
Your smile the shadow glowing
The undercovered you
Really never showing

Proud in soundlessness
Wearing with all pretense
Home your stately castle
Loneliness your very own essense

Cute but mute
Wishing for more expecting less
Taking after all are gone
The real you, never to confess

Voiceless and unspeaking
Gifted in every way
Woman among women
Yet with notihing to say
