A QUIET GOODBYE

He can`t sleep

He can`t even think straight,

All he does is weep.

He aches for her so much

Now his life is full of empty days

One after another.

He doesn`t know what to do with himself

With life as it is

He really just can`t be bothered.

He eats but doesn`t taste his food

He drinks far too much each day.

He can`t see the point of living

Since she left that way.

She just took her things and left

No note or excuses.

No reason or any lies.

She just closed the door quietly

After waving to him her goodbye!

He`s puzzled and confused

He doesn`t know where she`s gone.

Did he do something wrong perhaps?

Now she won`t even answer her phone.

He`s sent her some roses

A big box of chocolates as well!

He`s begged her in poetry

Just begging for her to tell.

But there`s just silence from her

Just a great big nothing!

So now he just stares at her picture

Feeling like hell!!
