Rain

Even though it's been so long,

Since you have passed away.

Your memory still stays with me,

With every passing day.

I think about you all the time,

No matter what I do.

Time's supposed to heal all wounds,

But that's just not the case with you.

When you left you took a piece,

Of both my heart & soul.

That carefree side I used to have,

Is now just an empty hole.

I wish to see you one more time,

So I can see your pretty face.

It's been so long since we have spoke,

I miss your sweet embrace.

But I am reassured by faith,

That God is caring for you.

And He can show you all the things,

You only dreamed that you could do.

So I put on this face of happiness,

When inside tears fall like rain.

And I'll try and hide this pain I feel,

Until the day we meet again.
