Poem -

rainbow child

rainbow child

sometime in the midnights
when the blue world falls asleep
you may see a magic thing or two
if you stay awake and peep

for down on all the briny shores
where a salt breeze teases night
a moon might bathe her rainbow child
in an ocean's roar and might

and should you tiptoe softly there
on that midnight dreamy land
perchance your footprints shall stay etched
on a sherbert coloured sand
