RAINBOWS

He lay down on a rainbow
His blush a rainbow hue
He reached a hand to share
with me
The glowing youth he knew
I smiled to know his essence
The beauty blurred by tears
He saw me as a rainbow too
His eyes saw not my years
He beckoned me from
rainbows
My blush a rainbow hue
For I saw myself through old
wise eyes
My colours grey black blue
I left him on a rainbow
When I blew his kiss away
Stepped over time
Walked far far off
To the truths
Of the black blue day
The memory a haunting
A fated trick of time
That he, of rainbow colours
Was never meant as mine

Amazing amazing poem Marion, such a great and simple write, again I always lack the latter in my poems lol. Must be a talker. Again purely fantastic. All the Best. The Fish of the Sea

Lol you may be right...but shush dont tell anyone! ;)... anonymously staying anonymous. Commenting is the least I could do for such a popular poet! So many comments that you have had to respond to over the last few days! Anyway smashing write again. Kind regards. The Fish of the Sea
I love the way you ended this poem. I got a lump in my throat (metaphorically speaking). Another fab poem x
