Rat-a-tat-tat 🪱

And as I scrutinised the rhythm I realised, it was thumping out a beat

Heaven’s above I thought that his minute claws would be sore

With his strumming and a’ drumming well he would be making them red raw
                                 ~
But this is just what little birds do, rat-a-tat-tat on the grassy ground

Coz their sixth sense knows exactly where wiggly worms can be found

That extrasensory perception to feeling and sound

As they stand in readiness to pounce on any moveable earthy mound
                                ~
Of course he got a big fat juicy worm in no time at all

When it wriggled and squirmed and he let it fall

And just as this tasty morsel started to crawl
