Ravaged Mother Earth
Wouldn't listen to anyone
couldn't see they were wrong
they continued to dig deep holes
and blow up their bombs
They choose to deny the truth
and they refuse to believe
that these bad things they do
are evil indeed, motivated by greed
Ravaged Mother Earth
they've torn out her heart
they've poisoned her seas
destroying her raiments
her flowers and her trees
Her mountains are moving
Her volcanoes awake
Her plates and her layersÂ
they tremble and quake
Ravaged Mother Earth
they've torn out her heart
brings woe upon us all..

Kia ora (greetings, thank you, cheers..) BydOnz. I wrote Ravaged Mother Earth as I song back in the 80's when the french were bombing Mururoa Atoll. This is a compilation of some of the lyrics.. Back in the day The Rainbow Warrior was bombed by the french here in Aotearoa, killing innocent lives. We the people have been peacefully protesting for years. Right now we are trying to protect our water ways (lakes, streams, rivers, seas). So yea nah, I wouldn't say failed, probably just reached their expiry date..  time for the young people to have a go..lol I hope they can change it too.
