Read me

Read me

I write because my voice will never save me.
I write because I have heard way too many "stay quiet" when I was younger.
Making me shut.
I write because my brain is on a railway, going faster than my heartbeat even if I am running to try to catch my thoughts with a pen and a sheet of paper.
I write because too many people are talking and no one is really listening.
I write because there are words I will never say and God knows why.
I write because I am a hopeless romantic who isn't comfortable with that.
People aren't nice with hopeless romantic souls.
I write to not forget.
A feeling.
A sentence.
A person.
I write because even if no one listens, I least I am read.

As writers—poets primarily suffer from this unique affliction—we write because we MUST, K.F.
It's a purging of the soul, if you will. A way we cleanse the poisonous thoughts, or sometimes those emotions and feelings pertaining to heartache and heartbreak, from our brain pans, get them out of our heads, into the open for all to see, and into a tangible form we can wrap our minds around.
Who cares if no one but us reads the crap we write?
But, if you're good enough at it, they will...
Nicely penned.
Welcome to Cosmo.
