Reality Cheque

Reality Cheque

When I fell asleep, the sun was bright,

My dreams they felt so true.

Its funny, how quick things can change,

The hurt we all go through.

Not all bad though, the game of life,

Things can seem so rough.

We take each hit and get back up,

Each time we get more tough.

The dealer plays the cards of fate,

Feels like a loaded deck.

You thought credit was good,

Hit with, reality cheque.

They say it pays to do things right,

Do everything, by the rules.

Take it from a man, who knows,

Destiny won’t suffer fools.

If you think, you’ll get what’s owed,

Or more than you deserve.

Back to school for you my friend,

Ask if you have the nerve.

The dealer plays the cards of fate,

Feels like a loaded deck.

You thought credit was good,

Hit with, reality cheque.
