Poem -

Reality Conflicts with Reality

I took emotional inventory, and found that

I am running into a brick wall, favoring

Hope, drinking from the cistern of illusion.

But witness my dream: we are heaven bound,

Loving within the meadows, saturated by

The presence of us. But this is a fiction. My

Reality is longing, convincing myself that

Brokenness justifies itself, afflicted by an

Image in the mirror. A war is taking place

In my heart. But make an arrangement on

My behalf: Tell her that I love the depth of

Pain. Tell her that she causes my bluebird to

Sing, albeit, caged. Tell her to free me, for

Her touch is mystic, and her ache is magnetic.
