A Change Of Heart

It felt like falling in to the abyss

The wonder of life I seemed to miss

I didn't seem to be getting anywhere

I was just stagnating without a care

Feeling there was no reason to smile

Every day I lived in a state of denial

It was me that needed to start anew

I needed to change my point of view

Realizing I had a lot to be thankful for

I began to see what I couldn't before

The world suddenly opened up to me

I revelled in my new found serenity

Helping others the very best I could

Appreciating chances as you should

I found such happiness I hadn't known

Reaping the rewards of what I'd sown !
