~ Recently Beautiful Days ~
As the warm wind caresses my cheek
I wander slowly through
The spring days of my life
Where I somehow know
That the memory of these moments
Will never change, never die
They are etched forever
As still-life's in the archives
Of the spirit that is my self
And so as I grow older
I am no longer afraid
Of my youth fading away
Instead I am filled with wonder
At the incredible beauty within
Those loves and triumphs
That have come and gone
Are me ~ for me ~ By me
A gift from the patience of time
And the wisdom I have found
From all the tragedy and pain
But also,
The magnificence I have found
As I anticipate
The coming of old age
I marvel at the excitement I feel
At gathering my many experiences
And using them to create
The best man I can be
And perhaps
Share these wonderments
In unusual ways
With people I love
Or songs I create
Especially when my heart
Is feeling this way
So overflowing
With this new love I've found
In these most,
Recently beautiful days.....

I would recommend sharing them now because few have time to listen in old age! lol! the grand kids move very fast and the kids are busy trying to keep up! lol! I share some here because I sit in my rocker just seeing a blurr! lol!
