Recipes

You fell in a swarm of
Raked up leaves
Momma's fresh baked cookies
Filled the autumn breeze

We played for hours up in the
Magic trees
A place where you could be you
And I could be me
Before we went in the house
With a smile on our faces

We opened the door to smell
The bakes even more
We all reached for the same thing
But we forgot our drinks

So we filled up the milk
In our cup
Waiting for momma's
Cookies and love

Those were the days before
She passed away
She did so many things for
You and me
I'll always remember her
In the recipes

They're not just ingredients
They're a part of us
It's a part of her
I'll remember her love
Standing in the door
Even though I don't see her
I'll enjoy them even more
